Dear valued customers and suppliers,
You’ll all be aware from the recent Government announcement that Auckland will move to Alert Level 3 and while the remainder of the country will remain at Alert Level 2. In light, of this, I’m keen to reach out and provide you an overview and update on GFC’s response and operational plan under these protocols and the COVID-19 – Standard.
In line with the Government’s guidelines (below), I’m delighted to share that GFC is now able and fully committed to work with you and support you and your construction sites with continued product supply with these eased restrictions.
Under Alert Level 3, What does delivery from GFC look like?
1. Deliveries with PPE
Our delivery drivers are provided with full PPE gear (Gloves, Face Masks, and Safety Glasses).
2. Contactless Delivery
Our delivery drivers will exercise contactless drop-offs with no requirement for a signature and instead will keep a delivery log in conjunction with a date-stamped photograph as proof of delivery.
Please Note: All of our drivers will be displaying their Names and Mobile numbers on their windscreens for quick reference.
3. Physical Distancing
We have appropriate health and safety measures in place and we have staff working remotely where possible. We have strict protocols around physical distancing at our dispatch warehouses.
We encourage our customers to use our free delivery service rather than collect your orders, however we do have a contactless collection facility if required.
4. Cleanliness and Health & Safety
All delivery drivers will take all hygiene measures as they are equipped with their own disposable masks, sanitiser, gloves, and safety glasses. We have worked together as a team to understand all construction site protocols. If delivery drivers and wider staff members feel unwell then they will be required to stay at home and seek advice from their GP.
As per the Government’s encouragement, GFC has supported all staff to receive the Covid-19 vaccine to prevent the transmission of the virus.
Please send myself or your Account Manager any additional COVID-19 Level 3 Control Plans that you may require us to sign.
We remain committed to our free same-day delivery service and we are well versed in operating in the environment we find ourselves in.
Any orders placed will be promptly despatched to your directed location.
We will continue to adequately protect our staff, customers, and suppliers in light of Alert Level 3, and at the same time strive to support our customers with the high level of customer service that you expect.
